Junior Smoots And The Disturbers: Live At The Harbor Inn

Junior Smoots And The Disturbers: Live At The Harbor InnEver since my first blog post about my friend Gary Crosslin’s band Junior Smoots And The Disturbers, people have come in droves. It amazes me still! One … that people Google Junior Smoots. And Two … that I’ve reconnected with all the (living) members of the band and quite a few fans. One of the people who recently found me was Bruce St. Laurent. Bruce was the sound man for the Smoots band in the early days. And thank goodness he did. Because now boys and girls … we have thirteen … count them … thirteen well recorded live songs, recorded direct from the sound board,  from an early gig at the Harbor Inn in Brielle, NJ.

If you were a Smoots follower … you know The Smoots band played the Harbor Inn A LOT! When I was living with Gary, Judy, & Kenny at the Smoots house in Wall Township, I’d go to most of the shows. I know I’d go and dance all night long too! We all would … you know who you are! ;)

Without any further fanfare …

Junior Smoots And The Disturbers: Live At the Harbor Inn.

BTW … there’s a link at the bottom of page to download all the songs here in MP3 format. Happy listening!

Don’t forget to tip your bartenders & waitresses!

Update: This show was recorded on March 11, 1983. That night new guitarist Denny Kronemeyer was introduced.

Hi Tedford,

Greetings from Asbury Park!

Another ripped show would be awesome! Do you know the date & where it was from? Well I guess from “Auld Lang Syne” it was a New Years show. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m still amazed how many people still look for the Smoots band & end up here. Thanks for stopping by.

I think it was ‘82 into ‘83, but I’d have to check the tape. Left you a message on Facebook too.

Tracy Lawrence @ Harbor InnKaren …

My condolence to you and your family. Tracy was always a sweet & talented guy, with a huge heart. It’s how I will always remember him.

I spent plenty of time with the band, having lived in the Smoots houses in Wall & Lakewood. I can’t tell you how many times I helped carry that Hammond B3 to & from gigs! lol But it was all worth it! They all brought so much joy to so many people — and still do.

I always loved the Harbor Inn, and skankin’ the night away. Hey even Bruce came to see the band at the Harbor Inn. ????

I’m happy I can give people a small place on the Interwebs to see, listen & remember the Smoots band.

Can’t believe I spelt keyboard wrong for all eternity..lol.guess he had that coming…..Thankyou for your condolences…means alot !!!
