Vegan Keto & Intermittent Fasting : Down 60 : 32 To Go
Like everything in life—it’s a process. First comes a desire, and then a catalyst that creates a need. Mix in urgency & the outcome is the conception of a plan. Next is the execution & the will to see it through to completion.
This is all to say: I was feeling like shit & I needed to do something about it!
That pretty much sums up why I am where I am. Even with all the COVID lockdown stress going on I’ve still managed to drop 60 pounds! That is no minor feat! And I’m pretty damn proud too!

I’ve been using Dr Berg’s version of Healthy Keto w/ Intermittent Fasting, and bent it to my vegan will. Like I’ve said previously: macros are macros. One meal a day, not counting calories, but formulating for 20 gm protein, 5/10 gm net carbs, & 70 gm fat.
The difficult part right now is trying to be a vegan during a pandemic and lockdown. It forces me to go out to get fresh veggies every week. Sometimes I can stretch it to two. Stopping the keto diet because of COVID is not an option. With only thirty pounds to go … I’m not too far off. It’s just the stress of going out in public & hoping nobody’s coughed on my veggies or me! (That may or may not be a joke. There’s some crazy shit going on out there!)
My biggest struggle right now is trying to sort through my energy drop. Is it COVID lockdown, social distancing, mortality, stress related depression, or is it that even though I’m in ketosis, I’m not getting that “energy boost” any more. I swore I’d start an at home exercise program—but that has yet to materialize. Even with that I’m trying to be gentle with myself. It will happen when it happens—plain and simple.
This update isn’t all that earth shattering—though losing another 24 lb might be considered so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
